The Genie is out of the Bottle! (February Newsletter)

Which Genie? THAT genie! We have spoken about “transformation” and the “transformative times” often. But now we can add “at scale” to the equation. At our February Advisory Board meeting, we had a round table discussion about each member’s Back to Work policy. The conversation very quickly flipped to employee expectations and the new demands put on Leadership. “Back to work” means more than a hybrid week…it’s about retention policies, work environment, resolution of the “my manager” conflict, compensation, transparency, diversity, openness, social awareness…to name a few. Leaders take note: the market will determine winners and losers. Employees might vote with their feet!. Ken Schmitt from Turning Point said it best: “No matter your product or service, you are now in the people business.” Yes indeed, that Genie is out of the bottle and not going back!
