SD Sport Innovators is the heartbeat of the Southern California sports business community. We inspire sports innovation through connections & networking, mentoring & education and access to capital.
As a non-profit, business accelerating, trade organization SDSI connects and drives the growth of Southern California's vibrant sports economy by offering innovative programs and services for start-ups, mature companies and service providers. We offer mentoring, education and capital funding opportunities for start-ups; best practice collaboration, access to new technology and public policy advocacy for mature companies; as well as deal flow to our service providers and the Southern California Investment Community.

Now in its 24th year, the CONNECT MIP Awards are to San Diego's technology industry what the Academy Award™ is to the movie business. This high profile event is in its 23rd year and attracts more than 800 San Diego business leaders, researchers and capital providers. More than 100 companies vie to be the Most Innovative New Product of the Year. Twenty-five make it through the rigorous judging process. Only eight walk up to the podium to receive this prestigious honor to make a worldwide impact in the categories of action and sport technologies, aerospace and security technologies, clean technology, communications and IT, hardware and general technology, life science-diagnostics and research tools, life science-medical products and software.
CONNECT MIP Award finalists and winners benefit from valuable community recognition, media coverage and product exposure. Participants are also given the opportunity to display their products at the premier CONNECT MIP Awards luncheon.
