SDSI MISSION

SD Sport Innovators is the heartbeat of the Southern California sports business community. We inspire sports innovation through connections & networking, mentoring & education and access to capital.

As a non-profit, business accelerating, trade organization SDSI connects and drives the growth of Southern California's vibrant sports economy by offering innovative programs and services for start-ups, mature companies and service providers. We offer mentoring, education and capital funding opportunities for start-ups; best practice collaboration, access to new technology and public policy advocacy for mature companies; as well as deal flow to our service providers and the Southern California Investment Community.

• SDSU SPORTS MBA & SDSI PARTNERSHIP

  
  

  SD Sport Innovators (SDSI) has partnered with the Sports MBA program at San Diego State University in a joint effort to provide value to all areas within the Southern California sports economy. The SDSU Sports MBA offers a sports-focused graduate business education to a group of 30 students from around the globe. These MBA candidates are looking for practical experience while enrolled at SDSU, and can provide budding entrepreneurs, growing organizations, and established sports companies with value as interns and consultants while pursuing their degree, with the goal of SDSI affiliated companies training them for full-time employment in the sports industry upon graduation.

  
  
  
  

  The students in the Sports MBA program matriculate each January and take courses in Finance, Marketing, Accounting, Strategy, Human Resources, and Market Research.  Their MBA education is rounded out by sports-specific modules focused on sales, sponsorship, CRM, sustainability, social media, and operations as each topic relates to the sports industry.
