Really, Since the Industrial Revolution? (July Newsletter)

“The most impactful event for society since the industrial revolution?” “More significant to society than the wheel or electricity?”  The CEO of Google thinks so, as does Elon Musk and, actually, a cascading list of global big thinkers.

Well, SDSI is a business development community, so its hard to imagine that this up coming mega (Meta?) force will not impact businesses. Rather than fret, we engaged Reid Carr’s Red Door Interactive for some guidance about the immediate business applications for AI…the “demo” his team provided was amazing. In the course of an hour and half, John Farris and Ron Hadler created a brand for us, complete with research, brand name, logo, Catch phrase, packaging and a 30 second TV spot, music included. Was it real? I forgot it was an exercise and caught myself preparing for an Amazon search!

The message was clear: AI is here today. It has some seriously dangerous aspects to it, but it also is an amazing business tool. it’s here rightnow, and it's a game changer. Elsewhere in the newsletter is a link for SDSI members to access the video of the presentation. Check it out. If you are not an SDSI member, we welcome new members from all businesses located in the Sport, Active and Healthy living space!
