Production Manager Job Description
LIGHT Helmets is a cutting-edge football helmet manufacturer located in Carlsbad. We are hiring immediately for a Production Manager for our assembly operations. We are a high growth company that offers career advancement opportunities.
LIGHT is looking for a HIGHLY MOTIVATED, FOCUSED individual to be part of our fun sports-oriented team. The ideal candidate must have excellent multi-tasking skills and perform a wide variety of duties including:
· Manage all aspects of football helmet assembly and production
· Hire, train and manage all assembly technicians
· Manage shipping and receiving
· Manage inventory levels for all football helmet components
· Develop, communicate, and implement effective operating policies to support Company growth objectives
· Establishes operational standards production, quality, scheduling, warehouse management and capacity planning
· Implementing processes to improve overall productivity, product quality, and reduce cost-of-goods.
· Maintain an organized production environment, adhering to quality and safety standards
· Manage in-house destructive testing lab and coordinate all out-of-house destructive testing.
Qualifications/Education/Experience
· Undergraduate degree in business, technical skills, engineering or equivalent experience.
· 6-8+ years of progressive experience in assembly/manufacturing with direct experience managing personnel a plus.
· Must be an inspirational leader with excellent strategic thinking and planning skills
· Position requires a proactive thinker and a strong bias to action: someone who can roll up their sleeves and get a job done across a wide range of potential areas
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an entrepreneurial environment
· Exceptional organizational, quantitative/financial, and communication skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills (internal and external)
· Vision to formulate effective strategies to meet the business plan. Critical attention to detail and follow-up
· Computer skills to include Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is necessary. Experience with inventory management software is a plus.

Salary: $85,000 to $140,000 per year depending on experience level.
