“WIN”
Think about it: a 137 Consecutive Win streak? From Helix High School thru to the next to last game at UCLA..137 games… Bill Walton was all about winning. He was also all about uplifting others, hard work, humility and give back. In his honor, and in a step to help create his legacy, SDSI is proud to announce the Walton Innovation Network, or WIN, which will house our mentor-led business development programming: Gateway for ideation and early companies and the Innovation Lab for companies seeking scale, pivot or financial planning.

From start-up to global success, we believe all companies can benefit from shared knowledge.  We exist to help sports, active lifestyle and healthy living companies grow. Our proven programs help founders build their businesses, their way, for the future they envision, whether that’s building a sustainable business, or aiming for a big exit.

Our mentor community of over 100 executives and founders share their knowledge and experience because they know that giving back helps build stronger, better businesses in our space. Our programming metrics are amazing: 78% of our graduate companies have succeeded. 35% of these companies were female founded or led. In collaboration, we have helped raise nearly $100 Million in start-up capital.  Amazing! If you run a company that might benefit from our services, reach out! The next cohort is in formation now.  Be a part of the WIN.

The Personal Collection of Bill Walton
A remarkable collection of memorabilia spanning Bill Walton’s extraordinary life, in basketball, music, and nature, went to auction earlier this month. Curated by the Walton family, and Bill’s legendary love for saving everything, the collection includes his first basketball hoop, championship rings, Grateful Dead treasures, and more. More than a basketball icon, Bill was a lifelong champion of people and philanthropy. A portion of proceeds will benefit causes at UC San Diego, continuing his legacy of giving back. While the live auction is complete, you can still check out this extraordinary collection here!
